July updates

Happy summer! It’s still a weird world, but I’m grateful for moments I can sit in the sun on my deck, admire my flowers, drink a glass of wine and read a book.

I just sent my editor the book I’ve been working on — and I have a title for you now!

YOU HAD ME AT HOCKEY will be out in December!

The main female character in this book, Sara, was really fun to write. She loves pink…pink macarons, pink flowers, pink wine.

So lately I’ve been on a pink kick (pink is not my favorite color!). I decided I should try some pink wines, you know, so my writing is realistic LOL

Then I needed pink flowers…

I got to go to the beach for the day last week to enjoy the hot weather we’ve been having. It was so relaxing. I love being by the water. It’s not the ocean, but Lake Winnipeg is huge, so it’s pretty close, and the sand is soft, powdery white — so beautiful. (Don’t worry, it wasn’t busy and we were able to social distance.)

I hope you are managing to enjoy summer despite the turmoil in the world. I’ve been escaping into good books, and I hope books provide you with some much needed comfort.
